Commissioning Technician
CMC is looking for a Field Commissioning Technician to support a major utility-scale Solar and BESS project in Enoch, Utah.
This is a hands-on field position supporting commissioning, testing and energisation through to final system turnover.
What you'll be doing
- Support commissioning and testing of Solar and BESS equipment
- Perform field walkdowns and QA/QC inspections
- Support energisation, LOTO and switching activities
- Work with inverters/PCS, MV equipment and SCADA/controls
- Identify and track punch-list items and installation deficiencies
- Review drawings, test procedures and commissioning documentation
- Coordinate with site teams, contractors and equipment vendors
- Support mechanical completion, functional completion and final turnover
What we're looking for
- 3+ years' experience within renewable energy construction, electrical field work or commissioning
- Hands-on utility-scale solar and/or BESS experience
- Electrical testing, troubleshooting and commissioning experience
- Understanding of inverters, MV equipment and electrical systems
- Ability to read drawings, schematics and commissioning procedures
- Strong safety awareness and experience working on active construction sites
- OSHA 30, NFPA 70E, SCADA/PPC or substation experience would be advantageous
This is a strong opportunity for an experienced solar or BESS technician looking for a long-term utility-scale commissioning project, with 7-day per diem and mobilisation support.
