Project Manager - Data Centre | Europe
Locations: Frankfurt, Paris, Milan or Helsinki
Overview
We are supporting a major data centre developer with an extensive European project pipeline to appoint experienced Project Managers to oversee a portfolio of projects across EMEA.
The successful individuals will work client-side, taking responsibility for the planning, coordination and delivery of large-scale data centre developments from pre-construction through execution, commissioning and handover.
This is an opportunity to join a growing European delivery programme and work directly with engineering teams, general contractors, specialist vendors and senior project stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end delivery of large-scale data centre projects, with responsibility for scope, programme, budget, quality and risk.
- Coordinate with design, engineering, construction, commissioning, operations and external contractor teams.
- Manage general contractors, consultants and specialist vendors against agreed programme milestones.
- Identify project risks, constraints and potential delays, implementing mitigation plans where required.
- Ensure projects meet the developer's technical standards, quality expectations and regulatory requirements.
- Provide clear project reporting and progress updates to senior stakeholders.
- Support projects through construction, commissioning, handover and operational readiness.
Experience Required
- Demonstrable Project Management experience within large-scale data centre construction or mission-critical environments.
- Strong understanding of data centre infrastructure, particularly electrical, mechanical, cooling and critical power systems.
- Experience working with general contractors, consultants, vendors and client-side engineering teams.
- Proven ability to manage complex programmes, budgets and multiple stakeholders.
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to identify and manage project risk.
- PMP, Prince2 or equivalent project management qualification beneficial but not essential.
- Previous experience delivering projects for a hyperscaler, colocation provider or major data centre developer would be advantageous.
Day-to-Day
You will act as a key client-side delivery representative, working closely with engineering teams, contractors and vendors to ensure projects remain aligned with programme objectives.
You will monitor construction and commissioning milestones, review technical and project documentation, challenge risks and delays, and provide clear reporting to senior project leadership.
Projects are available across Frankfurt, Paris, Milan and Helsinki, with opportunities to support a wider European development pipeline.
